>A Foodie’s Dream Day…

>On Wednesday, thanks to my colleague Michelle, I got to have lunch next to Chef Jody Adams of Rialto Restaurant.  Jody creates our Boston Go Red For Women(R) Luncheon menu (note: Friday, February 11th, Westin Copley) and Wednesday was the tasting.

I don’t have pictures…but can I just tell you how cool it was to sit next to her as she looked, made notes, tasted, and talked with the banquet chef about the dishes??  And the food!!!  I am going to have to try to replicate those one of these nights!

I want to be Jody Adams.  She is amazing at her craft…  Her cooking is an art, and I want to be that kind of culinary artist.

Lunch totally inspired me, as did my next meeting with Stephanie at Sara Campbell, and got me mentally ready to cook dinner when I got home.  Wow – food and fashion in one day…I love my job!  So dinner was a combination of a recipe I had seen and a suggestion from Stephanie.  I stayed dressed from work…the skirt and heels made me feel like a rock star in the kitchen.  Go ahead…laugh.  But it did…

Tenderloin & Pears
4-5 pears, sliced laid over fresh rosemary sprigs
Add one wedged red onion
Everyone needs a sous chef…and mine is the best!

Rest the pork tenderloin on top of the rosemary/pear/onion bed, cover with another sliced pear, and drizzle with honey.
I served a side of lemon broccolini – literally, lightly saute it in a 1-2T olive oil for 5-7 minutes, remove from heat, add the zest of one lemon and 1T fresh lemon juice.  Done!
All served atop a small bed of brown basmati rice!  Easy, and healthy to boot!

And…it received…
4 Beppos!!!!
Now, don’t get excited…I’ve got a long Friday ahead of me and it looks like it could be a pizza night.  This first week back into our routine has been a doozy!
Does anyone else feel this way???
